Bellfield made an excellent start to the first league match of the season and should have been a couple of goals ahead before Craig Hall made it 1-0 with a good strike from the edge of the penalty area.

The boys were soon to regret the early missed chances when a Largs took advantage of a couple of mistakes to take a 2-1 lead.

Bellfield then lost there way for a spell but were soon back on the front foot and Nico equalised with a low shot after good work in the middle of the park.

Bellfield were again the better team early in the second half however with the game evenly balanced it was Largs who took the lead with a near post finish from a corner.

A few minutes later it was 4-2 to the visitors with a headed goal from another corner kick.

Bellfield were now chasing the game but were unable to break through the well organised Largs defence and they made it 5-2 with a few minutes left when their striker won a challenge with Nathan in goals allowing him a clear run in on goal.

Bellfield played well for long periods of the match however were to regret early missed opportunities as Largs took their chances when they came. Onwards and upwards for the rest of the season⚽️!
