Bellfield 3 Cumnock 2

30 Aug 2017 by Tom Brown

With a few regulars missing and no recognised goalkeeper Bellfield dug deep for a win at home to Cumnock.

Bellfield went up 1-0 when Cammy showed good strength to see off a couple of challenges and scored with a low drive.

Sammy made it 2-0 with an excellent solo effort cutting in from the right wing and finishing well into the corner of the net.

Bellfield should have been well ahead but couldn’t take their chances and Cumnock pulled one back with a suspiciously offside goal after 60 minutes.

A few minutes later Sammy scored his second to make it 3-1 and the points looked safe with the home team dominating play however Cumnock scored a free kick to make the final score 3-2.

A good win for Bellfield who should have been a bit more comfortable had they converted their chances and thanks to Jamie and Zac who stood up and went in goals in the absence of a regular keeper⚽️.
