A much improved performance from the boys saw them through to the quarter final of the Presidents Cup.

After almost gifting Kilwinning an early goal the boys settled and played some good football but failed to take the lead squandering a couple of good chances.

After 25 minutes Kilwinning took the lead against the run of play however a cracking individual goal from Sammy 10 minutes later brought the teams level at the break.

Bellfield were well on top for much of the second half and should have been a couple of goals ahead before Sammy scored his second with a tap in after a great run and cross from Mitchell.

Kilwinning bounced back however and a headed goal with 10 minutes to go leveled the scored again.

With score 2-2 at full time the match went to extra time and neither team could find the breakthrough which would have proved decisive.

The tie was then decided on penalties with Callan scoring the winning spot kick after misses from Kilwinning.

A cracking cup tie between 2 committed teams and great to see the boys come out on top on penalties after a good performance over the 90 minutes and extra time and hopefully a sign of things to come for the rest of the season⚽️.
